COMMUNITY EVENT: Christmas in Salem

Join Historic Salem, Inc. for ‘Christmas in Salem’ as it returns to the McIntire District from December 4–6, 2015. The 2015 tours feature a combination of private homes and unique historical treasures in Salem. Homes will be beautifully decorated for the holiday season inspired by the 12 Days of Christmas and will be open for tours throughout the weekend.

Each year the tour features a different neighborhood in Salem and explores the unique histories and architectural tales of this city’s past. In 2015, Christmas in Salem returns to the historically-rich McIntire District, named for Salem’s celebrated architect Samuel McIntire.

The Salem Trolley will be offering service between select tour sites and downtown Salem all day Saturday and Sunday, with stops near the train station, parking garages, shops, and dining destinations. On Friday night, advance ticket holders are welcome to enjoy a candlelight preview of selected historic homes. The full trolley route will be indicated on the map in program books. The route begins at Christmas in Salem headquarters.

Tickets are $30.00 until December 2, 2015 and $35.00 on the day of the event. Advance tickets for members of Historic Salem, Inc. will cost $25.00.
